On January 19, TCC's community initiativeThe Climate Club partnered with Azraq to turn a simple jog at Kite Beach into a meaningful environmental activity. The concept, known as plogging—derived from the Swedish words plocka upp (to pick up) and jogga (to jog)—entails collecting litter while running, thereby helping protect our oceans and coastlines.

The participants collected a large volume of plastic and other debris, showcasing the real impact even a single cleanup session can have. Volunteers ranged from casual joggers to dedicated runners, all driven by a shared commitment to keep our beaches clean.

What might have been a routine workout became a tangible demonstration of environmental responsibility. By integrating sustainability into everyday activities—like running—it becomes easier for everyone to contribute to reducing pollution and preserving marine ecosystems.
